Summary This position is responsible for supporting the Public Relations and Marketing Department with internal and external communications about projects, initiatives, ongoing programs, and services using a wide range of visual, audio, and digital media.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities Include Design and produce multimedia content, including videos, graphics, photography, animations, and audio for social media content for Cleveland Countys approved platforms, including department promotions, news, press releases, tourism assets, and other updates.

Provides administrative and project support for programs as directed by Public Relations & Marketing management.

Collaborate with departments to develop creative solutions for marketing campaigns, events, and training materials.

Produces marketing and promotional materials for internal and external communications.

Helps organize and coordinate marketing events.Assists with planning and executing the Countys social media strategy.

Evaluates data and creates reports on key metrics to monitor campaign efficiency and analyze trends.

Assists with the oversight and maintenance of the Cleveland County and county department websites.

Performs visibility testing and quality assurance of media elements used across platforms, ensuring content is accessible for all users, including those with disabilities.

Attend community meetings, outreach activities, and special events, including those that may occur during evenings or weekends, as required.

Education & Experience Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degreeandone (1) year of professional-level work experience in marketing and/or media. Experience with software and digital imaging applications or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with graphic design and social media management, or equivalent combination of education and experience, where two years of related experience equals one year of schooling. Related experience assumes a similar role focused on skills and similar job functions.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Thorough knowledge of writing, designing, and editing techniques required to prepare marketing content, social media posts, reports, and related documents.

Proficiency with design and editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, InDesign, Final Cut, etc.)

Familiarity with photography techniques.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to independently organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal direction.

Ability to work closely at all levels with various citizens, committees, and staff members.

Ability to develop promotional copy and perform technical editorial work.

Ability to create and foster partnerships, maintain effective working relationships, and work directly with diverse groups of people and stakeholders.

Licenses & Certifications Valid drivers license, minimum required state vehicle insurance, and an insurable drivers record.

Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, using measuring devices, operating motor vehicles or equipment, and observing general surroundings and activities.

Work events could take place outside of M-F, 8 am-5 pm. Flexibility in the work schedule is necessary.

Work Location:

This role must work from the location identified at the time of hire, with work travel required as needed. Any change of work location, even on a short-term or interim basis, must be reviewed by the Supervisor and HR for approval.
