Position: Graduate Climate Action Intern
Hours: full-time for 8-10 weeks, or part time for 21 hours per week for 16 weeks

Location: Toronto ON (mostly in person)

The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Graduate Co-op to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting large projects to improve the scalability and accuracy of our emissions quantification software through research and analysis. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity and quality of our data, which supports our clients in making informed decisions about how to action climate strategies and maintains the integrity of the claims our customers make.
Responsibilities
- Work with the climate team and leadership team to research and update emission factors and benchmarks used for GHG calculations
- Collaborate with the technical team to support implementation of new solutions into the platform to improve scalability and accuracy of the calculations
- Generate climate models based on research and best practices to support client team
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Generate reports and perform data analysis as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency across all systems.
- Work with the product team to use the feedback and insights from your customer interactions to create tangible improvements to the platform and generate business value
- Continue to learn about climate measurement, carbon reduction, and other areas of climate action with the support of our Climate Lead
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a post secondary institution
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident
- Must be open to coming into the office at Yonge and Wellesley
- Must be available full-time for 8-10 weeks or part time for 21 hours per week for 16 weeks
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience or background in GHG emissions calculations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Nice to Haves
- Passion for environmental action
- Experience with AI
- Accounting/Bookkeeping/Engineering training
