. We are seeking an Account Director with passion and experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare advertising space for a leading Pharma Clien
t. As an Account Director, you will be a strategic leader, translating client vision into impactful roadmaps and overseeing the delivery of successful programs. You have proven experience managing and developing cross-functional teams, fostering deep client relationships, and identifying new revenue opportunities. You will expertly navigate complex projects, manage budgets, and ensure operational excellence while maintaining a keen understanding of the pharma/health indust
ry. Responsibili tiesStrategy & Creative Develop ment· Define and align annual strategy with agency goals and client expectati ons.· Analyze market trends and anticipate shifts to adapt strategies and seize emerging opportunit ies.· Continuously challenge and refine processes to maximize organizational efficiency on managed accou nts.· Influence business decisions through a clear vision and strong strategic recommendati
ons. Account Manag ement· Oversee end-to-end account management with high levels of fluidity, control, and operational excell ence.· Identify and develop new business opportunities (organic or net new) aligned with the agency’s overall strategic vi sion.· Ensure profitability and optimize resource use in accordance with the company’s financial tar gets.· Strengthen strategic partnerships and industry collaborat
ions. Team Leadership & Devel opment· Lead, inspire, and motivate teams through constructive and engaging leade rship.· Contribute to internal talent development and team skill g rowth.· Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and cross-functional collabor ation.· Make strategic decisions with both short- and long-term organizational impact in
mind. Client Relations & Ex pertise· Maintain strong, high-trust relationships with clients, ensuring proactive and effective communi cation.· Navigate and manage client crises with tailored solutions in collaboration with account leads.· Serve as a recognized strategic advisor, providing expertise to both clients and internal
teams. Qualif ications· 7+ years of agency account management experience in a healthcare agency setting· In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical marketing and pharmaceutical industry standards across Canada and the US (In-depth understanding of both internal and external regulatory body processes and gui delines)· Proven experience with both DTC and HCP across multiple therapeut ic areas· Ability to manage process and teams with selective involvement from senior accou nt lead.· Proven experience in AOR account management and project leadership within an advertising agency.· Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and grow high-performi ng teams· Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex, high-level client relat ionships· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a long-term strategic outlook· Ability to manage and support multiple projects, prioritize, delegate, and adjust quickly to changing pri orities.· Creative, quick and conceptual thinker and problem solver.· Ability to work well under pressure and with strict de adlines.· Solid understanding of the various executional channels including video, social, digital etc. within healthcare ma
