DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager of Workforce Development Centres, the Northern Workforce Development Centre (NWDC) Operations Coordinator
oversees the daily operations of the Northern Workforce Development Centre, providing guidance and front-line support to clients including
students, employers, communities, and partners. The role ensures training needs are delivered effectively while coordinating with internal
departments to support programming and student integration. The Coordinator operates with a high degree of autonomy, requires strong
communication, leadership, and organizational skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Business Administration Diploma; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Excellent customer service skills
-
Experience in project management, proposal writing and estimating costs for projects
-
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the entire MS Office
-
Experience in marketing via social media, networking and creating strong partnerships
-
Ability to work with industrial, community, and Indigenous clients while coordinating training aligned with current employment and
labour market needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
- Effective organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures
- Commitment to life-long learning
ASSETS

Experience with delivery of adult education and training

Experience with UCN programming (general programs and skilled trades)
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
