Location- This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at Enterprise Square.
Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development and Talent Management, the Senior Consultant, Executive Recruitment is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for senior leadership positions (such as VPs and AVPs, etc.). Operating within the framework of the University’s Recruitment Policy, UAPPOL procedures, and provincial labour legislation, this position ensures a proactive, barrier-free, and highly professional search process. The main contribution of this role is to secure top-tier national and global talent that aligns with the University's strategic plan, while mitigating reputational risk and ensuring a diverse candidate pool.

Partners with Hiring Managers, Search Committees, and senior leadership to define the search strategy, ideal candidate profile, and success metrics.

Develops comprehensive recruitment plans that include timelines, sourcing strategies, and budgets.

Manages the sourcing, screening, and initial interviewing of executive-level candidates.

Manages contracts and relationships with external executive search firms when third-party vendors are utilized.

Oversees the transition of the successful candidate into the university, ensuring a seamless hand-off to the relevant faculty or department.

Ensures all recruitment activities adhere to the Recruitment Policies, Access to Information Act (ATIA) and Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) legislation, etc.

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. RPR designation is an asset.

Deep understanding of executive recruitment methodologies; knowledge of Post-Secondary Administrative structures; familiarity with ATIA and POPA and human rights legislation as it pertains to hiring.

Expertise in competency-based interviewing, executive sourcing (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search), and talent mapping.

Communication Skills: Exceptional executive presence and "high-touch" communication skills; ability to influence senior leaders and navigate complex committee dynamics.

A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in full-cycle recruitment, including at least 5 years specifically dedicated to executive or senior-level searches within the post-secondary sector.
