We're looking for a passionate Associate Regional Director to join our team and help shape the future of Jewish teen life across Lake Ontario Region. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by working directly with Jewish teens to build vibrant chapters, develop exceptional teen leaders, and deliver engaging programs that inspire lifelong Jewish connection. Working closely with the Regional Director, you'll play a central role in leading one of BBYO's fastest-growing regions while helping hundreds of Jewish teens discover leadership, friendship, and community. BBYO Lake Ontario Region engages more than 1,000 Jewish teens each year through chapters, leadership programs, conventions, travel experiences, and community events across Toronto, Vaughan, Hamilton, and Ottawa. As Associate Regional Director, you'll help lead the growth and success of Lake Ontario Region while collaborating with colleagues throughout Eastern Canada and the international BBYO Movement. Whether you're early in your career or looking to build upon your experience in youth engagement, education, camps, or the nonprofit sector, this is an opportunity to grow professionally while making a lasting impact on Jewish teens. SHAPING THE FUTURE FOR TEENS AND YOURSELF As Associate Regional Director, your responsibilities will include: Coaching and mentoring teen leaders to create meaningful, engaging, and inclusive chapter and regional programs. Guiding teens in developing programming calendars that strengthen chapter health, leadership development, recruitment, and member engagement. Supporting the planning and execution of regional conventions, leadership workshops, community-wide programs, travel experiences, and other signature events. Recruiting new members and strengthening year-round teen engagement throughout Lake Ontario Region. Building strong relationships with teens, parents, advisors, alumni, and community partners. Working closely with chapter leaders to identify challenges, celebrate successes, and develop strategies for chapter growth and excellence. Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer chapter advisors. Coaching teen leaders through goal setting, project management, problem solving, conflict resolution, and organizational planning. Supporting communication and engagement with teens and families through email, newsletters, social media, phone calls, and other outreach. Utilizing the organization's CRM and other systems to support recruitment, membership tracking, program planning, and evaluation. Supporting BBYO Connect programming and helping younger teens transition into BBYO chapters. Staffing regional, international, and summer leadership experiences as assigned. Collaborating with colleagues across Eastern Canada and throughout the international BBYO Movement on organizational initiatives and special projects. ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR MAKING A LASTING IMPACT Our team values initiative, creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Success in this role comes from building authentic relationships, empowering teen leaders, and creating experiences that inspire Jewish teens to grow as leaders and active members of their communities. We're looking for someone who has: A post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with youth, teens, camps, schools, student organizations, or nonprofit programs is preferred. Experience planning events, managing projects, or coordinating programs. Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team. Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. A passion for Jewish community, youth leadership, and creating meaningful experiences for Jewish teens. Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when working with teens, volunteers, and confidential organizational information. Strong technology skills and the ability to quickly learn new software and organizational systems. Ability to work in person in the Greater Toronto Area and travel regularly throughout Lake Ontario Region. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when teens are available, including conventions and major programs. Ability to travel to organization-wide events such as International Convention, Staff Conference, and to staff a summer leadership program in the United States for approximately 2-3 weeks each summer. A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and eligibility to work in Canada.
