Responsibilities
Tasks
Plan and direct grounds maintenance Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work Maintain work records and logs Repair and maintain equipment Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Adjust equipment, valves, pumps and controls and process equipment Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures Supervise crew members Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work Operate and maintain off-loading liquid pumps and valves Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage Maintain inventory of equipment Maintain equipment Load, unload and transport construction materials Lay sod or seed Keep maintenance reports and documentation Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained Ensure compliance with government regulations Cut grass Co-ordinate maintenance and repair services Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants Pick up and deliver materials Prepare solution of gas or liquid, reagents, and sample formulations Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs Ensure safety procedures are followed Weeding
