The University of Toronto is seeking a Staff Scientist (Machine Learning Specialist) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing machine learning algorithms to analyze complex datasets.
- Collaborating with researchers to design experiments and interpret results.
- Providing technical expertise in machine learning and data analysis.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development in machine learning.
- Analyze and interpret data using statistical methods.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and R.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a research environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Other Relevant Details
- This position may require occasional travel for conferences and meetings.
