MAKE AN IMPACT THAT MATTERS

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Data Technician to join our collaborative project team. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of project documentation that drives successful project delivery.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, engineers, and contractors to organize and maintain drawings, specifications, RFIs, and shop drawings across internal and external platforms. Whether it’s streamlining document workflows, supporting contract administration, or developing knowledge-sharing materials, your work will help safeguard quality and efficiency at every stage of a project.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Organizing the collection of documents (paper and electronic) including drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and other engineering documents for archiving and records as necessary. Identifies project plans which require updating and notify the project leads.

  • Downloading project files from external cloud-based platforms and maintaining an up-to-date project file structure on our internal document management system.

  • Performing document control and storage for designated active projects including filing, protection, retrieval, retention and destruction of records.

  • Performing project documentation management, including documentation retrieval, archiving, and coordination between project web portals and team members.

  • Assisting with Contract Administration tasks for projects including: Downloading Requests for Information and Shop Drawings from external cloud-based platforms and posting to our internal TAG Project Services platform.

  • Assisting Project Managers with clerical project tasks such as monitoring shop drawings and RFIs, and creation of reports for supported projects.

  • Creation of training materials to support Knowledge Management Initiatives.

  • Other duties as required.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in data entry or related fields is a plus.

  • Experience in document control, project coordination, or contract administration within the engineering, construction, or consulting environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and data management software. Familiarity with database systems is an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to type quickly and accurately (e.g., 50+ words per minute).

  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to small details.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Capable of identifying and resolving discrepancies in data.

  • Strong written and verbal communication to clarify data requirements or discrepancies.

  • Understanding of data privacy standards and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.

  • Willingness to learn new software or processes as needed.
