Project Management Specialist****TFT
Temporary Full-Time (18 months)
Start Date: May 4th, 2026
2025 Salary Grid 6: $38.77- $46.16
Location: Brockville, Ontario
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and working collaboratively on behalf of the Senior Leadership Team will develop and assist in implementing major municipal projects.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Education in Business, Public Administration, Economics, Communication, or a related field and/or related experience.
- 4+ years experience in a municipal role.
- A project management professional experienced at relationship building, financial and project management in municipal services.
- Well developed business organizational and project management skills – planning, organizing, designing, implementing, presenting, time management, who is both detail and people oriented.
- Possesses superior English language communication skills including document writing, development, and delivery of presentations.
- Knowledge and experience researching and writing proposals for government sponsored funding programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network, build working relationships with diverse stakeholder groups including business, government, community leaders and volunteers.
- Experience with digital social media management, public engagement and strong knowledge of the Counties, its member municipalities and the business community an asset.
- A team player focused on achieving collective goals; innovative, collaborative, and client focused.
Position Responsibilities:
The Project Management Specialist will work collaboratively with the Counties’ Senior Leadership Team to advance major strategic initiatives. Typical projects could include:
- developing and implementing a corporate wide communication and public engagement plan;
- expanding affordable and attainable housing, reducing paramedic response times;
- modernizing and developing municipal facilities, space needs analysis for the efficient and effective delivery of all services;
- and the adoption of a fiscally responsible capital maintenance and expansion plan.
Other duties, as requested and required.
Protect own health and the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and safety. Follows all guidelines for employees and employers as legislated under the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
