About the role

Role impact:

The objective of this role is to manage the performance, efficiency, stability, and evolution of the company’s national network ecosystem (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Internet, Cloud Networking) and the associated property technology infrastructure (servers, storage, UPS, site-level IT service delivery).

This Senior Manager will lead a team of experienced IT professionals to drive operational excellence across these domains. Key accountabilities include managing the full lifecycle of hardware, internal and outsourced IT services, ensuring a high level of availability and performance. While maintaining a high level of service, this leader will proactively evolve system management, monitoring and incident escalation frameworks. This role will collaborate closely with IT management peer group and property leadership to design and implement cost-effective, scalable solutions that align with the enterprise technology roadmap. A key initial focus will be to review and recommend strategic improvements of operational and management processes to align with modern network management and support requirements.

What you will deliver:

  • Take a lead role in evaluating and developing artifacts that accurately reflect current operating environments for property and corporate networks, storage, server & operating systems, UPS, and other management platforms.

  • Engage with senior management in formulating strategies to attain business objectives by prioritizing technology projects and overseeing the assessment, implementation, and administration of present and upcoming technologies.

  • Assist the departments senior leaders with the change management of new procedures, policies, and standards for an efficient execution of new infrastructure of hardware & software technologies.

  • Contribute to adopting strategies relating to industry trends and emerging Infrastructure related technologies.

  • Recommend short- and long-term plans to ensure infrastructure availability, capacity and IT service continuity that meets existing and future requirements.

  • Partner with the Security team to plan and maintain a secure environment aligned with CF standards. In collaboration with the procurement department, implement of a service-based infrastructure founded on a set of standardized network, storage, and server services each characterized by its own service levels and performance goals in collaboration with the Procurement department.

  • Supervise the selection and integration of suitable monitoring solutions and procedures to ensure efficiency and uptime of crucial systems, aiming to identify issues and trends in advance.

  • Ensure effective execution of major infrastructure related projects through the complete project lifecycle, undertaking proactive monitoring of costs, timescales, and resources throughout.

  • Effectively manage a team by setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and driving personal development. Foster a positive, collaborative culture that encourages cross-functional partnership while ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards. Develop, maintain and test (annually) disaster recovery plans for systems and equipment within the scope of Property and Corporate Technology Operations Services

What you need to succeed:

  • University or College degree in the field of computer science, business administration or relevant field

  • V4 ITIL Essentials Certification, process awareness and best practices

  • Minimum of 7 years experience managing and/or directing technological operations

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience working with multi-platform systems and related software

  • Minimum of 3-5 years management or supervisory experience within a customer-focused IT operations environment

  • Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development

  • Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, network infrastructure, MS Windows, Linux, Hyper V, VMWare operating systems, data communications, storage array technologies, virtual operating environment, Azure/AWS IaaS services, data center services

  • Experience with network technologies including NAC, Cisco and Palo Alto and IP management

  • Experience with Endpoint management, SCCM (patching platforms)

  • Working understanding of project management principles

  • Working understanding of Product Lifecycle Management

  • Proven experience in planning, organization, and development

  • Demonstrated ability to assess value of technology solutions to business problems

  • Experience of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues
