About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Systems, this role will focus primarily on systems development within Workday, supporting the existing Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation and the recent Finance Module implementation. As part of the Technology Department, this role will work closely with our implementation partners, various business stakeholders, and members of our technology team to successfully execute multiple projects in support of Workday. The Workday Systems Engineer will be responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and data integrity of the system, working collaboratively with our internal Finance and Talent stakeholders.
What You'll be Doing:
Systems Development and Integration:
- Collaborate with the Technology, Finance and Talent departments on maintaining, designing and implementing new global processes and procedures, as it relates to existing integration or required integrations to complete a business process or Workday function
- Collaborate closely with Professional Services from third-party vendors to complete systems
integration setup, testing and deployment - Collaborate closely with Financial institutions in implementing and maintaining payment connectors into Workday
- Lead the research, design, development, and testing of new Workday integrations
- Convert functional requirements into technical specifications for implementation
- Perform SIT (Systems Integration Testing) prior to UAT or other user facing test cycles
- Assist in UAT and the overall testing life cycle across integrated systems
- Track and assist in the resolution of bugs
- Act as an SME to in-house development teams to ensure that our custom apps efficiently provide and consume data into Workday
Systems Support and Maintenance:
- Manage tenant releases and hot fixes, and coordinate with the Business teams to ensure continuous operations
- Maintain existing integrations, which includes testing functionality in Sandbox through to Production
- Maintaining our overall tenant health, security, and business continuity
- Monitor scheduled integrations, and develop a process for resolving failures
- Support the configuration of security and access control
- Perform regular audits to ensure system data integrity
- Write and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with the latest releases of the ERP system, identifying opportunities to leverage new functionality
- Provide any cross-training needs to ensure full coverage of areas of responsibilities
- Maintain detailed and timely notes about the implementation and ongoing projects
- Accepting 2nd and 3rd level tickets from the Helpdesk and working with the vendor to resolve
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, and implementing integrations for Workday
- 5+ years of experience supporting Workday business modules (HCM, Finance, Adaptive Planning, Payroll, Reporting, and integrations)
- Experience integrating source data systems via Workday SOAP APIs (customers, payments/refunds, invoices, suppliers, POs, journals) and REST APIs
- Experience using Workday inbound/outbound integration tools such as EIBs, core connectors and RaaSs, and Workday Studio
- Working knowledge of Workday functional features such as business process & security frameworks
- Experience developing XML, XSD, and XSLT transformations
- Experience with ETL Tools (e.g. Mulesoft, Fivetran, Zapier, Jitterbit, Snaplogic)
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including system and process documentation
- Fundamental understanding of IT & Financial controls
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment that is subject to constant and fluid change
- University bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience
- A very strong preference for candidates with existing Workday Pro Certifications
- Experience implementing Banking integrations
- Experience implementing integrations between Workday and Salesforce Products
- Experience working with Business stakeholders
