Schedule
Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Collecting and disposing of waste materials, garbage and recycling;
- Washing, sweeping and mopping floors, halls, and entryways in the plant;
- Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces;
- Replenishing washroom soap, hand sanitizer and hand lotions;
- Restock paper towel and toilet paper dispensers ensure adequate supply during holidays and weekends;
- Replenish restroom hygienic and inventory supplies;
- Wiping walls/cupboards/other surfaces;
- Cleaning and dusting furniture, wiping horizontal surfaces;
- Vacuuming and cleaning carpets (where required);
- Area water fountains and utility sinks;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must use required PPE equipment, including but not limited to: safety masks, goggles, gloves, and steel toed footwear;
- Must abide by all health and safety policies, practices and procedures;
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift to move materials and carry supplies;
- Perform physically repetitive tasks; bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, using stairs, reaching, scrubbing, prolonged standing and walking;
- Follow all company and site instructions and building protocols;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Motivated and self-driven, with a willingness to learn;
- Clear oral and written communication skills;
- Experience in an industrial or janitorial cleaning role is considered an asset.
