Background
Our financial sector client is seeking an Automation Developer to join the Network Security SRE team. The consultant will build automation solutions that enhance control monitoring, ensure compliance, and improve operational efficiency across network security platforms such as firewalls, proxies, intrusion prevention, and VPN gateways. This role combines full-stack development and security automation to support scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Python (or equivalent languages) for automation and process optimization.
- Strong understanding of REST API development, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for automation data management.
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins) and security protocols such as OAuth.
- Knowledge of network security technologies (firewalls, proxies, malware prevention, VPN gateways).
- Ability to design intuitive user interfaces and maintain compliance with security standards.
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills.
- Nice to have: experience in code reviews, test planning, and visualization using Tableau.
Responsibilities:

Automate processes with Python (or equivalent languages), identify opportunities for efficiency gains, and enable continuous integration.

Collect and document users' requirements and develop logical specifications. Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test application.

Develop new features in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.

Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.

Maintain compliance with security standard for all environments including sub systems (such as DBaaS instances and virtual servers) and ensure vulnerabilities are resolved on time.

Support and lead the implementation of automation use cases and provide support for SRE processes and standards.

Participate in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technology and service deployments
