THE POSITION

Main Activities And Responsibilities Reporting organisationally to the Senior Manager, Transport & Mobility - Canada, the Transport Mobility Manager- Toronto will be a key member of the FIFA26 Event Transportation team, and work in close collaboration with FIFA Venue Transport, Bus & Fleet, Parking, and Operational Services teams, and the key Host City teams responsible for delivering Host City Transportation operations and the Toronto Mobiity Plan i.e., Tournament Route Network, Tournament Spectator Bus / Metro / Tram Systems, Local Area Traffic Management and Parking, and Travel Demand Management.

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Transport Mobility Manager-Toronto for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:

  • Integrating with all functions within Event Transport.
  • Integrating with all Host City transport mode delivery partners/stakeholders – transit, rideshare, active, roads, parking etc.
  • Working closely with Host City authorities and contributing to the development and review of their FIFA World Cup 2026 Mobility Plans ensuring alignment with FIFA requirements.
  • Collaborating with Host City transport teams to develop FIFA client routes between venues/sites/facilities (ingress and egress), road closures, and diversions to optimize vehicle flow.
  • Supporting the schedule and route consolidation plan to ensure alignment with FIFA26 transport requirements.
  • Coordinating with all FIFA Functional Areas and transport systems to ensure plans align with overall event transport strategies.
  • Working with Host City Last Mile teams, FIFA Spectator Services, and other venue-related stakeholders (e.g., FIFA Fan Fest) to optimize access and egress strategies.
  • Supporting the delivery of transport operations for all test events before the FIFA World Cup 26™.
  • Reviewing and preparing correspondence, reports, studies, briefings, and presentations regarding spectator flow and public transport planning.
  • Conducting site visits across venues, sites, and facilities to observe, document, and assess transport-related features and operations.
  • Supporting the Senior Manager with transport related procurement tasks, including development of tournament time contract compliance and monitoring plans.
  • Travel within Canada, and possibly the US and/or Mexico may be required to reflect the business needs of the department (meetings, workshops, site visits, other Events, etc).
  • This role requires you to be onsite 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) at our Toronto Office located in Liberty Village.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Transport, Project Management, Event Management, Major Sporting Events, or a combination of education and experience relevant to the position.
  • A master’s degree is an additional asset.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of transport-related work experience, ideally within football, sports, or major events.
  • Transport operations experience at atleast one international mega event, preferably multiple world-class sporting events (e.g., FIFA World Cup™, Olympic Games, regional football tournaments, etc.).
  • Experience working in multi-functional event organizations and dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Experience collaborating with public and private sector partners, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Experience with mapping, spatial planning, BIM, an asset.
  • Experience with visual development tools, i.,e Adobe Illustrator an asset
  • Procurement, contract management, KPI setting and monitoring experience an asset.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and administrative abilities.
  • Adaptability and flexibility when faced with ambiguity or rapid change.

Languages

  • Fluent in English. French proficiency is a plus

Technology

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
