About the role
We're aiding the search for an exciting and growing product-focused technology company looking to hire Senior Backend Engineers. They are looking for experienced backend developers with deep Node.js (NestJS) expertise who enjoy building scalable products, collaborating across teams, and solving complex technical challenges.
What you will do: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS Develop and enhance APIs and microservices that power core product functionality Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality features from concept to production Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and engineering best practices Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to continuous improvements across the engineering team
What we're looking for: Core requirements 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience Deep hands-on experience with Node.js, including strong expertise with NestJS Experience designing and building scalable APIs and backend services Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and modern development practices Excellent verbal and written communication skils Strong product mindset with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions Experience working collaboratively within Agile, cross-functional engineering teams Preferred skills Experience with microservices and distributed systems Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases Exposure to frontend technologies such as React is considered an asset Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives is a plus
