Organization : Mercor
Position: Hedge Fund Expert
Referral partner : Crossing Hurdles
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $130/hour (with potential increases for top performers)
Location: Remote
Duration: Minimum four-week engagement, with potential for extension or future project rotations
Commitment: At least 10 hours/week, fully asynchronous and flexible schedule
Role Responsibilities
- Apply hedge fund domain expertise to financial modeling, market sizing/TAM analysis, investment research, earnings predictions, and related workflows
- Support AI research and model development by providing feedback, detailed analysis, and creating or evaluating AI-generated investment research
- Assess and review investment analysis summaries and memos for quality and rigor
- Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to optimize AI systems and outputs
Qualifications
- Strong experience working at a top hedge fund, with expertise in at least one of the following:
- Financial modeling
- Market sizing/TAM analysis
- Investment or research memo creation
- Earnings prediction and analysis
- Ability to work independently and manage flexible, asynchronous schedules
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported)
