What Are Our Expectations We are looking for a passionate, and dynamic person who will lead reviewing and dispositioning of non-conforming hardware. You will be working with a diversified team of quality professionals and trained inspectors. You will also be responsible to oversee and coach the inspection team, supporting them when they have questions on process / procedures & specifications.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

  • Appropriately interprets Engineering Specifications to understand the technical requirements of a product
  • Inspect, report, rework, and disposition non-conforming product
  • Distribute and route QN as per applicable procedure
  • Provide Engineering with supporting documentation for further non-conformity analysis
  • Develop part rework process
  • Audit non-conformity report (QN) information
  • Manage prioritization of production requirements with the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
  • Coach, mentor, and train others within the Quality organization
  • Work in collaboration with other stakeholders providing technical support on activities relating to Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions, Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Support the creation/updating and balloting of standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Gather data to prepare inspection and test plans, standards, acceptance criteria, etc.
  • Produce reports and status updates for key stakeholders
  • Contribute on special projects/assignments
  • Perform Quality Inspection and Quality Review duties depending on business requirement
  • Actively participate in all required training to acquire authorizations needed for job function

  • Keep customer perspective when dispositioning hardware
  • Compliance is key and requires a process to review procedures are understood and followed.

The tools you need to be successful Must haves

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Experience in aeronautics or in manufacturing / assembly
  • Good understanding of inspection and repair processes on aeronautical products
  • Experience with reading technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience in reviewing critical rotating part.

Assets

  • More then 10 years of experience in inspection experience
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada Civil Aviation Regulations (TCCA)
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
  • Continuous improvement, root cause corrective action & 8D experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP and ENOVIA PLM.
