What is the opportunity?
- Identify and assess IT-related compliance risks against RBC policies and standards, including data breaches, privacy violations, and system vulnerabilities
- Monitor and Manage IT Inter-Group Agreement Service Level-Agreement (SLA) reporting and evidence for 1211 NY Credit Branch
- Monitor and Manage Third-Party SLA Reporting and Evidence for 1211 NY Credit Branch
- Manage internal reviews and follow-up from IT SOC reporting (SOC 2 Type 2)
- Own and manage contract negotiations/renegotiations
- Define and Test Third Party Exit Strategy
- Own Incident Management Playbook for 1211 NY Credit Branch
- Collaborate with IT staff to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions
- Own the execution of Supplier Risk Management Assessments
- Manage vendor relationship management of key third-party relationships
- Ensure Data Accountability / Data Controls follow RBC Data Governance policies and standards
What will you do?
- Manage and Monitor 1a 1LOD IT Risk Controls* (20%)
- Manage and Monitor Vendor & Inter-group Agreement SLAs* (20%)
- Owner of 1a 1LOD Business Reviews of Supplier Risk Management Assessments (20%)
- Vendor Relationship Management of Contracts/Payments* (20%)
- Implement and test plans for IT risk mitigation and management including incident playbooks and exit strategies* (10%)
- Manage updates to 1211 NY Credit Branch Data Domain Charter (10%)
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 5 years of experience in managing technology risks is needed, with experience in audit and regulatory reviews
- A solid understanding of IT infrastructure, security practices, and various IT domains is essential
- Proven ability to manage projects and handle diverse stakeholders is crucial.
- Communication—Ability to receive, process and playback verbal and written communications effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and resolve IT-related issues are necessary.
Nice-to-have
- Certifications like CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), or other information security or risk management certifications can be beneficial.
