The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General is looking for a motivated, compassionate and service-oriented individual to provide leadership and direction to the Early Family Dispute Resolution Office. The Early Family Dispute Resolution Office supports the legislative requirement where individuals involved in a family law dispute must attempt a dispute resolution process before proceeding to court. The manager will be responsible for supporting this requirement in Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Director of the Dispute Resolution Office, you will:
- provide leadership and decision making in the development of policies, procedures and systems, which will ensure the early resolution requirement is successful; and will encourage service providers to obtain and maintain knowledge and skills, and regularly review legislative requirements;
- provide direction and mentoring of one staff member;
- represent the Early Family Resolution Office on various committees and networks;
- educate and inform clients and service providers about the early family dispute resolution requirement - Family Mediation | Early Family Dispute Resolution | Government of Saskatchewan; and
- establish and maintain working relationships with various stakeholders such as the judiciary, the legal and dispute resolution communities, and community based organizations.
Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job will be obtained through a university degree in Law, Social Work, or an undergraduate degree and management experience in a human service program delivery setting. A combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered. Experience serving the public or working with families would be an asset.
Travel may be required.

Hours of Work**:** A - SGEU Office 36 - one day off every two weeks
Criminal Record Check Requirement**:** The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment
