About the role
As Program Coordinator, Paramedic Practice , your primary focus will be the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality paramedic education that supports clinical excellence and safe patient care. You will play a key leadership role in driving educational strategies that align with medical standards and regulatory requirements. While the emphasis is on education, this position also contributes to the overall quality and safety of prehospital care through continuous quality improvement initiatives. You will supervise casual staff and support budget planning within your program area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of evidence-informed education, including certification, recertification, continuing medical education (CME), and remedial programming.
- Ensure educational content is accurate, current, and clinically relevant, and approved by Medical Council where applicable.
- Champion a culture of learning and clinical excellence by promoting the integration of adult learning principles, simulation, and innovative teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with paramedic services, faculty, and internal teams to ensure education supports regional and service-specific operational needs.
- Contribute to patient safety and quality improvement by integrating identified clinical trends, audit outcomes, and performance data into education planning.
- Provide subject matter expertise and strategic recommendations to Program Manager(s), Senior Manager, and Medical Directors related to education design, delivery, and outcomes.
- Foster strong working relationships with paramedics, paramedic services, and key stakeholders to support the regional education mandate.
- Lead and mentor casual instructional staff, providing direction and performance feedback to maintain consistency and quality in education delivery
