Clinical Pharmacist
About the role
Job Summary : The Clinical Pharmacist will assist the Director of Provincial Oncology Drug Program on implementation of new drug programs as well as evaluate current drug programs. The Clinical Pharmacist will assist in developing policies and institutional tools for new drug treatments. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality assurance for the management and delivery of oncology drugs. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating any drug, or safety alerts from organizations such as Health Canada or the ISMP, and ensure necessary institutional tools are updated.
Qualifications : Required :
- Graduate of Pharmacy from an accredited university
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Manitoba
- 3 years of experience as a pharmacist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Satisfactory employment record
- Must be able to work legally in Canada
Preferred:
- Experience in an institutional pharmacy
- Experience in oncology pharmacy
- Experience in evaluation and monitoring of drug therapies
- Experience in formulary development and maintenance
- Familiar with the pan Canadian Oncology Drug Review (pCODR) process
- Member of the Canadian Association of Pharmacy in Oncology
Asset:
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Proficiency in SharePoint
- Experience working or volunteering in a health-care environment
- Ability to speak French
