Content Safety Specialist- Intermediate (AI Community)

About the Role:
At TELUS Digital, we believe that a safe internet is a better internet. As a Content Safety Specialist, your job is to be the "Digital Guard" for the online world. You will review photos, videos, and text to make sure they follow the rules and are safe for everyone to see. You don't need to be a technical expert; you just need a sharp eye and a good understanding of what is appropriate for your community.
Key Responsibilities:
Labeling Content: Look at posts or images and "tag" them if they contain things like bullying, fake news, or dangerous activities. Safety Checks: Follow a simple set of "Safety Rules" to decide if a piece of content should stay online or be removed. Fact-Checking: Briefly check if a statement made by an AI is a real fact or a "hallucination" (made-up information). Protecting Users: Your work helps prevent harmful behavior before it ever reaches a real person.
Qualification path
Mandatory Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in any field. Native-level proficiency in your primary language. You need to understand the local slang and "vibe" to know when something is mean or dangerous. Basic (B1) English so you can read our safety guides and report your findings.
Assessment:
In order to be hired into our community, you’ll go through a subject-specific qualification exam that will determine your suitability for the position and complete ID verification.
Payment:
Currently, pay rates for experts range from $7 - $15 USD per hour Our Payment terms are defined for each project.
