About the role

Our client is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join a growing manufacturing organization and provide reliable, hands-on support to keep systems running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, learning quickly, and working in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hardware and software support to end users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Provision and maintain end-user workstations, peripherals, and related equipment.
Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365.
Perform recurring IT maintenance tasks and keep documentation and work instructions up to date.
Support cloud-based environments such as Microsoft Azure (asset).
Communicate effectively with internal staff and external suppliers to resolve IT issues.
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, following required safety practices and reporting hazards.
Carry out additional IT-related tasks as needed to support the team.
Skills & Experience
Degree or diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of IT support experience.
Knowledge of essential network protocols (TCP, UDP, IP, ICMP, ARP).
Experience with Office 365 applications and services (Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive), Active Directory, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2019.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or other cloud computing platforms (asset).
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (asset).
Strong understanding of computer hardware and troubleshooting techniques.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Ability to learn quickly, including adapting to company-specific processes.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
