The salary range for this position is:

  • Recruitment range: $69,052 - $76,129 starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.

• Performance range: $89,791 salary range ceiling is available through annual performance increases.

Job Summary

The Data Analyst leads the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to support strategic planning, operational decision-making, and continuous improvement within Student Wellness. The role ensures data systems are well-structured, reliable, and responsive to the needs of the unit, while supporting a culture of data-informed practice through collaboration, training, and process enhancement.

Objectives

  • Deliver accurate, insightful data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and planning.
  • Maintain and enhance structured data systems, tools, and documentation to support consistent, high-quality reporting.
  • Collaborate with staff and leadership to align data outputs with service priorities and evolving information needs.
  • Build staff capacity in data systems and promote best practices in data quality, documentation, and use.

Job Requirements

This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as data analysis, business administration, health administration, or a related discipline), plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an educational or healthcare setting. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

  • Demonstrated experience working with large and complex datasets, with a strong focus on data accuracy, analysis, and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data visualization) and other reporting or business intelligence tools
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for diverse audiences, including internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of data quality principles, system integrity, and documentation standards
  • Familiarity with electronic records systems (such as Accuro or similar), and experience with data related to health, education, or service delivery
  • Working knowledge of financial processes such as invoicing, reconciliations, and tracking within data or reporting contexts
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience supporting others in using data systems and reporting tools, including training or documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and apply sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to data privacy, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant standards and policies
