Personal Support worker (Part-Time)
About the role
Job Description A valid certificate for Health Care Aide or preferably Personal Support Worker from a recognized school of training
► Must be able to communicate in English including written documentation. Has an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
► Strong problem-solving skills in performing individualized residents’ plans of care
► Proven ability to accurately record care given to residents
► Strong team player and a positive team spirit within the department and centre
► Effective interpersonal relations with team members, residents, families and other departments
► Good attendance records – a critical element for primary care goal
► Good knowledge of the Resident’s Bill of Rights and endeavours to respect and promote it
► Interest and track record of continuing education through attendance at in-services and outside educational opportunities
► Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the residents and the center
► Proven ability to care for residents’ with dementia according to the gentle care philosophy
