What you will do: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Learning Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real-world machine learning projects, data engineering workflows, and model deployment pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, support model development, and help scale ML solutions in a cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test and validate large datasets to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Support governance, documentation, and process initiatives by coordinating with business teams and data stewards on data quality issues.
- Assist the Data Science team with model development, accuracy calculations, and data analysis.
- Assist in building, testing, and validating machine learning models using large datasets.
- Support data engineering tasks including data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
- Participate in cloud migration efforts and validate datasets and model outputs.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvements related to ML workflows.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Analytical skills with experience in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
- Programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning libraries.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms and their applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience with query languages such as SQL and database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Databricks, ADLS (Azure Data Lake Storage), and PySpark.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar.
