About the role
The Granite Club is looking for a fixed-term Human Resources Intern who will gain hands-on experience supporting various HR functions such as recruitment, employee engagement and administration. This role will work closely with our HR team to support the day-to-day operations as well as collaborating with cross-functional leaders on strategic HR initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process including attending job fairs and coordinating the logistics with the colleges,
- Supporting the preparation for the onboarding and orientation sessions for new employees.
- Help coordinate employee engagement activities and events.
- Assist with internal communication channels such as notice boards, newsletters, email communications, etc.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team.
- Participate in employee training and development programs.
- Assist with document management, including maintaining employee records with accuracy.
- Act as a point of contact and support employee inquiries alongside the HR team.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Canva is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Enthusiasm to learn and take on new challenges.
