   Job Posting for Sessional LecturerThis job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement   Course: GGR337H5F - Environmental Remote Sensing (Sci)   Description: This introductory course emphasizes mastering fundamental remote sensing concepts and utilizing remotely sensed data for monitoring land resources and environmental change. Topics include surface-energy interactions, sensor systems, image interpretation, and applications for examining soil, vegetation and water resources. Upon completion of this course, students should have the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue more advanced work in digital image processing and remote sensing applications. [24L/12P]   Class Schedule:LEC0101 Mondays 13:00 - 15:00   PRA0101 Mondays 17:00 - 18:00 PRA0102 Mondays 17:00 - 18:00 PRA0103 Mondays 18:00 - 19:00 PRA0104 Mondays 18:00 - 19:00   Estimated enrolment: 90   TA support: will be subject to final enrollment figures   Sessional dates of appointment: September 1 - December 30, 2026   Salary: In accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, rate of pay is $9,997.48 for a Half (F/S) course, $19,994.95 for a full (Y) course. All pay rates are inclusive of vacation pay. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.   Qualifications: PhD in Geomatics or a related field. Proficient with ErDAS, ArcGISPro.
