Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor (night shift) is primarily responsible for coordinating production activities during line shutdown and restart periods. He plays a key role in the planning and monitoring of maintenance interventions, cleaning and preparation activities, while ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality and continuous improvement standards.
An overview of your everyday life
- Plan and coordinate maintenance and washing priorities and interventions;
- Ensure that lines are ready to restart on schedule and with minimal losses;
- Improve machine downtime caused by breakdowns and washdowns
- Collaborate closely with the production and quality teams to prioritize actions;
- Ensure compliance with and application of factory regulations and policies, health and safety rules and good manufacturing practices at all times;
- Act as a leader (role model) with his/her team with respect to company rules and policies;
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and act as a promoter of change;
- Ensure compliance with established standard work processes and procedures;
- Coach team members to contribute to performance objectives (safety, quality, restart time);
- Evaluate employees on their performance and communicate observations to them;
- Ensure the development of its employees so that they are able to perform their tasks;
- Document and communicate the causes of major shutdowns and propose solutions to avoid them in the future;
- Promote team spirit, collaboration, respect and leadership;
You are the ideal candidate if you have:
- Training in electromechanics, mechanical engineering, or any combination of training and experience deemed equivalent
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience supervising maintenance teams.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).
- Essential bilingualism, spoken and written (French and English);
- Leadership and ability to coach;
- Excellent planning and prioritization skills;
- Good coping skills and stress management;
- Analytical mind and sense of urgency;
- Ability to collaborate with several departments (maintenance, quality, production);
- Focused on problem solving and process improvement.
