Director, Human Resources
Lotus Group is pleased to partner with a well-established and growing Canadian manufacturing organization in the recruitment of a Director, Human Resources.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive leadership role is responsible for the organization's Human Resources function across multiple Canadian locations, including labour relations, payroll oversight, organizational development, health and safety, and HR technology. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director will help shape business strategy while supporting operational excellence and employee engagement across the organization.

About the Opportunity
The Director, Human Resources provides leadership and oversight for the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR programs, policies, and practices support both organizational objectives and employee success.
This role partners closely with executive and operational leaders to strengthen workforce capability, foster a positive workplace culture, and support continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities Provide strategic HR leadership aligned with organizational goals and business priorities. Partner with the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness. Lead labour relations activities, including collective bargaining, grievance management, and arbitration. Oversee payroll, compensation, benefits administration, and HR compliance. Champion talent management, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives. Provide oversight of workplace health and safety programs in partnership with operational leaders. Lead HRIS strategy, workforce analytics, and process improvement initiatives. Develop meaningful HR metrics and reporting to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with employment standards, labour legislation, payroll requirements, and occupational health and safety regulations. Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture across all locations.
Key Qualifications Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience. Experience in a senior HR leadership role with broad functional responsibility. Strong labour relations and collective bargaining expertise. Experience managing grievances, workplace investigations, and employee relations matters. Knowledge of payroll administration, compensation, and benefits programs. Experience leading HRIS implementations, workforce analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong understanding of employment legislation, labour law, and occupational health and safety requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred. Former experience with mergers and acquisitions is an asset. CPHR designation is an asset.
