Position Summary
The Housekeeping Office & Training Manager oversees the administrative and training functions of the housekeeping department, ensuring efficient coordination, communication, and team development. This role manages scheduling, payroll, reporting, and inventory systems while leading onboarding, training, and ongoing development initiatives for housekeeping team members. Working closely with the Housekeeping Manager, this position supports daily operations, maintains service standards, and ensures team readiness to deliver a clean, safe, and consistently exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
- Support the delivery of Cabot’s luxury cleanliness and presentation standards across all guest rooms and public areas
- Assist in addressing guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate VIP room preparations, special requests, and arrival readiness with the operations team Operations & Department Coordination
- Oversee housekeeping office operations, including room assignments, status updates, and daily coordination with Front Office
- Monitor room status accuracy, productivity reporting, and communication to ensure timely room availability
- Support inventory management for linens, amenities, and supplies, ensuring proper tracking and cost control Training & Team Development
- Lead onboarding and training programs for all housekeeping team members
- Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and service standards documentation
- Support supervisors and managers in coaching, performance development, and maintaining consistency across the team Administrative & Reporting
- Manage scheduling systems, payroll administration, and departmental reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and month-end reports including productivity, labor, and inventory tracking
- Maintain accurate records, training logs, and communication with leadership and cross-functional departments
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping operations within a hotel or resort environment, with a strong understanding of luxury cleanliness and presentation standards
- Proven experience overseeing housekeeping functions, including room inspections, turnover, and public area maintenance
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemical use (WHMIS), and health and safety standards
- Experience managing inventory, linen programs, and housekeeping supply controls
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including team supervision, training, and performance management
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure timely room readiness and issue resolution
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Skills & Competencies
- Guest-focused mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management
