Contractual role for 3 months with a possible extension depending on the business needs.
Base salary: 45,000 CAD annual base pay
About the job
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support our recruitment efforts with a primary focus on hiring bilingual interpreters. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process; from sourcing and attracting candidates to onboarding, while ensuring classes and hiring needs are consistently filled. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator’s is not limited to these, but will also provide administrative support and assist with broader hiring initiatives as business needs evolve.
Job Responsibilities
- Proactively source and engage bilingual interpreter candidates through job boards, social media, community outreach, referral programs, and other creative channels.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of interpreter class hiring needs.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Track candidate progress and maintain accurate recruitment records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Partner with TA Lead or Manager to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements, background checks, and documentation.
- Assist with recruitment-related administrative tasks, reporting, and data management.
- Support additional hiring initiatives across the business as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment processes and candidate engagement strategies.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR coordination (internships and administrative recruitment support experience considered).
- Strong sourcing skills with the ability to engage diverse talent pools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with candidates and community partners.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable using applicant tracking systems(i.e Workday or something similar, and MS Office/Google Suite tools.
- Experience hiring Mandarin or Cantonese specific roles is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- Fixed schedule Monday to Friday, 9 hrs shift from 9 AM to 6 PM.
