What the job involves
- As a Principal Information Security Engineer, you will lead the planning, design, and build of security architectures
- You’ll partner closely with peers to implement and enforce corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures, ensuring the security, compliance, and risk mitigation of the organization’s technology infrastructure and data assets
- Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to guide technical direction across teams
- Lead the development and implementation of security architectures across network and computer systems
- Own the installation and configuration of network hardware and software
- Oversee network monitoring by continuously identifying and addressing potential security threats across LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related devices
- Lead vulnerability assessments across systems and applications
- Direct incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, mitigation, and post-incident analysis
- Coach and mentor junior network engineers
- Influence multiple areas within the domain, with potential to impact the broader department’s strategic direction
