The Customer Program Manager acts as the primary liaison between the OEM and internal departments to ensure effective communication, timely service delivery, and overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

The objective of this role is to provide focused product specific support. This includes the following aspects:

  • OEM Relationship Management
    • Primary point of contact for all OEM interaction outside of executive level, drive priority support and liaise with internal teams to understand program needs
    • Detailed understanding of OEM License agreements (E.g. AMROC, CREX, DOF). Supports negotiations for renewals. Drives visibility on the BU on license requirements.
    • Leads OEM reporting requirements (activity reporting, royalties, credits, etc)
    • SME on OEM and customer agreements and leads contract renewal activity
    • Supports OEM Offload agreements (KPI management, OEM communication and escalation)
  • Program Oversight
    • Provides support and mentorship for Senior CALs with assigned programs.
    • Provides oversight of KPIs including format or efficiency improvements.
    • Assists in compiling and delivering performance reviews for key customer accounts.
    • Coordinates customer contract Flow down requirements in line with BU process.
    • Oversight of forecasted program pipeline in line with customer communicated requirements and AOP commitments.
    • Ability to perform data analytics for key program metrics (e.g. downloads of customer activity, margin performance, working capital, operational metrics, etc. as required)
  • Product Level Responsibilities:
    • Understanding of key customer accounts, challenges, and opportunities to drive performance/profitability improvements
    • Liaise between the internal operational team and the Sales/Business development teams to improve capture processes to ensure the highest probability of winning contracts and meeting business objectives for assigned opportunities.
    • Performs review of margin performance, trends, challenges and delivers results to Finance and the ST
    • Manages SI&OP processes for the product (e.g. attends pipeline calls, distills high probability inputs, coordinates with operational/material planning requirements, leads formal BU SI&OP requirements).
    • Establishes customer unit priority within the shop (e.g. Induction, Build, Test, Critical Part Allocations, etc.)
    • Supports special projects on the product line including continuous improvement
    • Works with customer service team to drive consistency in pricing or product practices. Provide support and mentorship to CALs as applicable.
  • Sales Support:
    • Liaise between the internal operational team and the Sales/Business development teams to improve capture processes to ensure the highest probability of winning contracts and meeting business objectives for assigned opportunities.
    • Develops market growth strategies for the program including supporting the sales team in lost sales analysis and strategic approaches geared at accessing new customers.
    • Reviews and provides input on Level I program pricing approvals to ensure margin performance and market competitiveness (flat rate labor, component repairs, exchange parts, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering technology or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in an MRO environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in delivering technical and/or commercial formal presentations, contract/agreement reviews, etc.
  • 3+ years of analytical experience in manipulating date using SQL or Microsoft Office product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Familiarity or experience with the specific product line is a preferred asset
  • Ability to query data and perform analysis to monitor performance and highlight opportunities for improvement is an asset
  • Strong problem-solving, team collaboration skills with the ability to adapt to changing needs and requirements
  • A bias for action / self-starter – initiative in making timely decisions balanced with an understanding when escalation is required
