About the role

Now Hiring: 2 Full-Time School Bus Drivers – Sherwood Park and area Route Are you a reliable, safety-conscious individual who enjoys working with children and being part of the community? Elk Island Catholic Schools (EICS) is currently seeking 2 full-time School Bus Drivers to join our Transportation Services team. This position is based out of Central Learning Services in Sherwood Park and serves a local Sherwood Park route .

This role involves approximately 4 hours per day , Monday to Friday, during the school year. The start date will be August 21, 2025 or mutually agreed upon with the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a school bus safely with up to 72 student passengers
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment on board
  • Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with students, parents, and staff
  • Follow all traffic and school transportation regulations

Qualifications

  • Valid Alberta Operator’s License with Class 1 or 2 certification
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism
  • Positive and calm approach to student behavior management
  • Willingness to complete Class 2S MELT and S-Endorsement training (if not already certified)
