Company Description Fall River Family Practice is a large, collaborative healthcare clinic with a team of 11 physicians, two family practice nurses (FPNs), and an experienced clerical staff providing essential administrative support. The practice fosters a highly supportive environment, ensuring comprehensive patient care. It utilizes the MedAccess electronic medical record (EMR) system to streamline documentation and enhance efficiency in patient management. Additionally, the clinic is in the process of implementing an online booking option to improve accessibility and convenience for patients. Job Description Fall River Family Practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage August 24th to September 4th, 2026 Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions. Qualifications All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Additional Information Physicians in Nova Scotia provide fulfilling patient care which embraces family life, professional development and community involvement.
