L’équipe de thérapie cognitive et comportementale sur Internet pour le personnel de la sécurité publique (PSPNET) est située à l’Université de Regina. Le programme est financé par le gouvernement fédéral et provincial. L’équipe du PSPNET est menée par Dre Heather Hadjistavropoulos, une des dirigeantes les plus éminentes sur la TCCI au Canada. L’équipe est composée de cliniciens et de chercheurs qui développent, offrent et évaluent la TCCI afin d’aider les membres actuels et anciens membres du personnel de la sécurité (PSP) à améliorer leur santé mentale et leur bien-être.
Le psychologue ou le psychothérapeute clinique travaillera avec l’équipe du PSPNET de l’université de Regina. LePSPNET dirige le développement et l’évaluation de la Thérapie cognitive et comportementale sur Internet (TCCI) pour le personnel de la sécurité publique (PSP). En général, l’inscription à la TCCI commence par une évaluation en ligne et téléphonique. La TCCI demande aux usagers de consulter du matériel psychopédagogique sur Internet et les psychothérapeutes offrent un suivi et dirigent les activités thérapeutiques par le biais de messagerie sécurisée et d’appels téléphoniques. Le psychologue ou le psychothérapeute participera à diverses activités cliniques, pédagogiques et de recherches associées au projet. On s’attend à ce que la personne choisie aide à l’évaluation des clients et qu’elle offre un suivi thérapeutique aux PSP inscrits à la TCCI. Le psychologue ou le psychothérapeute clinique contribuera à l’élaboration et à la révision du matériel de traitement et du processus thérapeutique basées sur les commentaires du PSP. Il participera aussi aux activités d’engagement des intervenants, ainsi qu’à la préparation de rapports et de présentations. Le titulaire travaillera au sein d’une équipe interdisciplinaire. Le candidat retenu devra peut-être travailler à distance.
The Public Safety Personnel Internet-delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (PSPNET) team is located at the University of Regina and funded by federal and provincial funding. The PSPNET team is led by Dr. Heather Hadjistavropoulos, one of Canada’s foremost leaders on ICBT. The team consists of both clinicians and researchers who are developing, implementing and evaluating ICBT to help current and former public safety personnel (PSP) to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
The clinical research associate will work with the PSPNET team at the University of Regina. PSPNET is leading the development and evaluation of Internet-delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (ICBT) for public safety personnel. ICBT typically begins with an online and telephone screening. ICBT itself involves patients reviewing psychoeducational materials over the internet and therapists providing support and directing therapeutic activities via secure messaging and phone calls. The Clinical Psychologist will be involved in various clinical, educational and research activities associated with the project. It is anticipated that the Clinical Psychologist will be involved in screening clients for and offer therapist support to clients completing ICBT. The clinical research associate will also likely assist with development and revision of treatment materials and workflows based on feedback from PSP. The incumbent is also likely to be involved in engagement activities, preparation of reports and presentations. The incumbent will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
The successful candidate may have to work remotely.
Position Requirements
- Maîtrise du français (à l’écrit et à l’oral) et bonnes connaissances de l’anglais.
- Les compétences nécessaires pour ce poste sont généralement acquises par l’obtention d’un diplôme de deuxième cycle ou d’un diplôme de troisième cycle en psychologie clinique, travail social,et psychoéducation. Cependant, une expérience pertinente sera aussi prise en considération.
- L’inscription auprès de l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec ou l’admissibilité à l’inscription, est requise afin de détenir un permis valide de psychothérapie.
- Connaissances pratiques et expérience de travail préalable dans le traitement des problèmes de santé mentale requises
- Connaissances et expérience en thérapie cognitive et comportementale, un atout important;
- Excellentes aptitudes interpersonnelles et capacité de travailler en équipe;
- Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite;
- Expérience en recherche un atout (p. ex., revues de la littérature, entrevues, groupes de discussion, sondages, éthiques de recherche, évaluation de programme, analyse de données, dissémination des résultats);
- Doit pouvoir travailler avec une équipe interdisciplinaire de chercheurs et de cliniciens;
- Doit pouvoir travailler de manière autonome et diriger un projet sous supervision;
- Doit avoir de bonnes compétences organisationnelles et de gestion du temps;
- Doit posséder de bonnes compétences en évaluation et en résolution de problèmes;
- Doit posséder des compétences de base en informatique;
- Des compétences avancées en informatique, un atout;
- Les candidats ou candidates qui possèdent une expérience clinique et de recherche combinée, auront un avantage;
- Un permis de conduire en règle et un véhicule en état de marche sont un atout.
- La vérification du casier judiciaire peut être requise pour ce poste.
- Fluent in French and functional in English;
- The skills associated with this position would typically be obtained through the completion of a Masters or PhD degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology or Social Work. However, other degrees with a combination of relevant skills and experience will be considered;
- Candidates must be registered with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec in order to hold a valid psychotherapy permit.
- Registration or ability to be registered to practice with their professional regulatory body is important;
- Previous direct knowledge and experience treating mental health problems needed;
- Experience in cognitive behavioural therapy a significant asset;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with team;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Experience conducting research an asset (e.g. literature reviews, interviews, focus groups, surveys, research ethics, program evaluation, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, dissemination of findings);
- Research productivity is a significant asset (e.g. publications, reports, conference presentations);
- Must be able to work autonomously and take a lead on a project under supervision;
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills;
- Must have strong assessment and problem solving skills;
- Must have basic computer skills;
- Advanced computer skills an asset;
- Preference will be given to candidates that possess a combination of both clinical and research experience;
- Valid driver’s license and road worthy vehicle an asset; and
- Criminal record check may be required for the position.
