About the role

Description: The Music Therapist coordinates a Music Therapy Program and provides clinical music therapy services to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients, residents and families receiving care. Works as a member of the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient, resident and family care. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of bachelor's degree in music therapy from an accredited institution. Music Therapist Accredited (MTA) or equivalent. Member is good standing with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Palliative care/oncology/bereavement experience would be an asset.
