Music Producer – Mentorship
About the role
A Kansas-based pop singer-songwriter is seeking a skilled music producer to collaborate on original pop tracks tailored to a soft vocal style. The ideal candidate will create engaging beats, provide creative input, and support the artist in developing a unique sound. This role is perfect for a producer passionate about mentoring emerging talent and interested in building a long-term creative partnership. The collaboration will begin on a trial basis, with the potential for ongoing remote work if the partnership proves successful.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the artist to compose and produce pop songs that complement a soft vocal style
- Develop original beats and instrumentals suited to the artist’s vision and genre
- Guide the artist through the music production process, offering mentorship and creative feedback
- Assist in arranging, mixing, and finalizing tracks for release
- Support the artist in strategies for music distribution and audience growth
- Communicate regularly to ensure alignment on creative direction and deliverables
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience in pop music production, with a strong portfolio of relevant work
- Proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, or FL Studio
- Strong understanding of vocal arrangement and beat-making for pop genres
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with emerging artists, providing constructive feedback
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and workflows
- Availability for ongoing partnership if the initial trial is successful
