The Academic Affairs team provides advice and administrative support to senior academic leadership, faculty and staff in the Beedie School of Business. Our work focuses on the interpretation and implementation of University policies, guidelines, and collective agreements. We are a small, high performing group who value teamwork and excellence.
About the Role
The Coordinator, Academic Affairs is responsible for academic administrative activities and processes. The position provides procedural advice on routine and non-routine situations to support operations and decision-making; and has primary responsibility for several related processes and systems. The position is responsible for coordinating complex administrative processes; conducting research to support operations and decision making; gathering, compiling, and analyzing data from various sources; responding to queries from faculty and senior leadership, and supporting the implementation of best practices.
The ideal candidate is a person who works well independently but is also able to collaborate with colleagues for quick resolution of issues. They are interested in working with policy and will be able to use it to make informed decisions in their work. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to successfully convey complex ideas. The person will want to provide outstanding service and will be prepared to respond to complex or difficult questions.
