Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for candidates to grow our client care team in Calgary, AB, or Langley, BC. As a Client Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in driving business growth by engaging with policyholders through outbound calls. This role focuses on sales and relationship-building, where you will present tailored solutions, issue new policies, and close sales to achieve both personal and team targets. In addition, you will provide support to our partners by addressing inquiries and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

What will you do?

  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls to policyholders.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established sales and revenue growth targets through proactive outreach and effective client engagement.
  • Clearly educate clients on the product value and coverage options, overcoming objections and guiding clients to confident, informed purchasing decisions.
  • Foster a positive customer experience to support long-term trust and retention.
  • Issue new policies accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
  • Manage timely follow-ups to maximize conversation opportunities and ensure clients receive timely responses to their inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of client interactions, call activity, and sales progress reporting purposes.
  • Provide timely and professional communication with our partners and policyholders via email and phone calls.
  • Build rapport and maintain positive relationships with our partners and policyholders through effective and empathetic communication.
  • Support brokers in quoting and binding insurance policies by answering eligibility and coverage-related questions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting policy discrepancies and special broker requests.
  • Competently answer inquiries from our partners relating to their earnings.
  • Utilize retention strategies to strengthen existing customer relationships.
  • Complete a variety of administrative tasks relating to policy maintenance and collaborate with other departments to provide a premium experience for both our policyholders and partners.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Level 1 General License is an asset.
  • Must be willing to obtain a General Level 1 Insurance License.
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience.
  • Insurance experience an asset.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication in Mandarin, Punjabi, or French is an asset but not required.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound calling, objection handling, closing sales, and consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and navigating difficult conversations with professionalism, empathy, and patience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong working knowledge of Excel for data entry, tracking and reporting.
  • Open to working evenings and weekends.
