What you’ll do

BCCHF has an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Prospect Development team. Reporting to the Manager, Prospect & Business Intelligence, this important role will support the Foundation in its business intelligence priorities through data management, reporting and process optimization. With a strong generalist skillset in data analysis and being a subject matter expert on operational data use and prospect intelligence data, you will support our important cause by providing data driven insights and tools to our teams.

More specifically, you will:

  • Support the application of organizational governance standards and definitions, including maintaining data accuracy and creating guidelines to support business teams’ governance.
  • Identify and integrate external data to strengthen prospect profiles and key relational data.
  • Support business teams in bulk data operations (import, exports, transformations) in the foundations CRM, data systems and core applications.
  • Reviews workflows and business processes to identify areas to improve data health.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards within the foundation’s CRM and reporting platform; focused on surfacing insights.
  • Conduct regular datamining to generate new prospect leads, identify donor engagement opportunities, and support the Prospect Analysts in managing high fidelity donor data.
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Analysts and Teams to assess existing business processes, providing recommendations for improvement and enhanced experiences for internal teams and external donors.
  • Develop fundamental data automations – through dedicated low/no-code automation tools or simplified data extraction queries.

What you bring

We understand that no single candidate will perfectly meet all the qualifications outlined for this job posting. The following highlights the qualifications we consider important:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in related discipline such as Business Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, related or equivalent education/experience.
  • Three (3) years' experience as a business, reporting, data analyst or related role with experience in data management or reporting.
  • Experience with organizational CRM systems; combining end-user’s processes and backend data structures.
  • Familiarity with disciplines of advancement research and prospect management
  • Experience with reports using common reporting/BI Tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) and beginner/intermediate knowledge of the associated languages (PowerQuery, DAX, etc.)
  • Proficiency in the use of databases, and data management tools at a moderately complex level.
  • Ability to accurately complete intermediate data querying (SQL) and analysis activities.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures of data engineering and governance.
  • Comfortable working with multiple projects and priorities at the same time
  • Ability to implement and apply policies, training, and documentation relevant to data/information management.
  • Skilled in evaluating processes and procedures to use data effectively.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment by adapting and modifying priorities, work requests, and scopes to changing conditions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information.

The hiring range for this position is between $72,750 and $85,580. At BCCHF, we are committed to ensuring that compensation is fair and equitable. Your placement in the salary range will be determined by your experience, relevant skills, and qualifications as they relate to this role.
