Shift -Days -Hours to be determined
Duties

Coordinate and schedule truck dispatches using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize freight routes and delivery times

Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations, ensure timely deliveries, and adjust plans as needed

Communicate clearly with drivers, carriers, and brokers, clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times

Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety standards

Utilize analysis skills to identify inefficiencies in transportation planning and implement improvements for supply chain optimization

Maintain detailed logs of dispatch activities, incidents, delays, and other relevant information for reporting purposes

Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support operations
Requirements

Proven experience in dispatching and logistics within the transportation or logistics industry

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Basic knowledge of load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) is an asset
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple calls efficiently while maintaining professionalism

Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and managing multi-line phone systems
-
Understanding of freight operations including shipping & receiving procedures and 3PL (third-party logistics) coordination

Ability to analyze transportation data to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Knowledge of transportation planning principles within supply chain management
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
