POSITION OVERVIEW

We have an immediate need in our sales department for a professional that can resolve technical issues and help our clients using our systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical, mechanical, and software aptitude, and be customer service oriented. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that is passionate about customer success, delivers high-quality work, and is a results-oriented team player who can function with minimum guidance.

To be successful in this role, you must be highly motivated, have strong time management skills, be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and be flexible to adjust to conflicting demands. Strong software and hands-on hardware skills are essential to troubleshoot a variety of electro-mechanical systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Provide client support for technical issues, including software and hardware via e-mail, online calls, and phone.

·       Obtain specific details relevant to customer requests to escalate unresolved problems to other departments or members of the customer support team

·       Work closely with the production and engineering department to resolve technical support issues and assist with user applications.

·       Evaluate and troubleshoot electro-mechanical products (e.g., servo and robotics systems) returned by clients for repair (RMA).

·       Document procedures and solutions to frequently asked questions.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       A bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized University. Mechatronics, robotics, or controls engineering specializations are preferred areas of study

·       Fluency in English writing skills with an ability to express complex concepts in a clear, engaging, and professional manner is required

·       At least 1 year experience in electro-mechanical product assembly or repair, testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating

Technical Skills

·       Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

·       Strong MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python skills and programming knowledge (e.g., C++, Java)

·       Experience in electro-mechanical product assembly or repair, testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating

·       Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, engineering schematics, assembly manuals, and BOMs

·       Sound knowledge of electronics testing and debugging equipment as well as electronics components

·       Experience using data acquisition (DAQ) to interface to sensors and actuators

·       Has worked with robotics, autonomous vehicles, and/or control systems.

·       Familiarity with using and developing with ROS would be considered an asset
