About the role
GFL Environmental is looking for a Loader / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Delta, BC! The successful candidate will safely operate and/or have the ability to operate a loader to bale, load and move compost from one location to another.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate a loader to bale and load compost.
- Loading hoppers and grinders
- Perform inspection and maintenance checks of equipment daily.
- Grease/lubricate equipment, check and add fluids to equipment daily
- Maintain appearance of the grounds and facility.
- Attend safety and branch meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery
- Successfully operate a loader to move compost around.
- Capability to run 110, 150 and 980 loaders
- Ability to operate other heavy equipment an asset.
- Ability to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Operations Certification if needed.
- Demonstrate ability to follow instructions and work under little supervision.
- Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
