Doman Building Materials is an exciting place to work as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Operating in every province, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will support managers across the country with their hiring efforts.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a member of a 14-person Human Resources department, you will be an integral part of the day-to-day recruiting efforts of a busy Human Resources team that supports multiple divisions across Canada. As a cohesive team, there is plenty of support, so everyone grows in their role. The primary focus is to provide professional recruiting services to the business leaders within Doman.

You possess passion and expertise in hiring the best candidates for every position. You are an expert at supporting front-line leaders, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple vacancies simultaneously. You are skilled in full-cycle recruiting, adept at writing job postings, and providing guidance to hiring managers on appropriate hiring practices.
You support diversity and inclusiveness in the candidate selection process. You maintain awareness of and ensure that the recruitment and selection process comply with all applicable laws, policies, and collective agreements.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Minimum four (4) years’ corporate recruiting experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of Human Resources principles and legislation that affect recruiting.
- Experience with proactive talent sourcing
- Strong foundation in behavioral interviewing
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal), strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to take ownership of duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION
- Post-secondary education in Business is preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- The typical hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. The base pay offered is based on geographical location and may vary depending on the applicant’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Similar positions located in other geographical locations may not necessarily receive the same salary range. The compensation information is an estimate and provided to meet with applicable provincial Pay Transparency legislation.
