About the role
Location : On-site | Downtown, Toronto
Duration : 6 months
Daily Responsibilities :
Varies at time in tax season, however generally will be to perform QC on newly produced work, create duplicate tax slips and create amended tax slips.
What program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role? Describe in what capacity the selected candidate will be using it ?
· Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, MS Outlook
· Must be comfortable with Excel - Ability to easily create/edit spreadsheets with formulas as needed
· Unitrax recordkeeping system is an asset
Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations :
· Strong attention to detail
· Highly motivated, detailed, and deadline-oriented
· Strong team player, resolute for the team’s success
· Committed to ‘First Time Right’ quality initiative
· Able to quickly learn new concepts and processes
· Able to multitask and prioritize with varied functions and workload
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French is a definite asset)
· Ability to work overtime – during the week and on weekends
Nice-to-have Skills/Experience and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations :
· Funds industry experience required
· Knowledge of the Unitrax record-keeping system preferred
· Understanding of registered products desired
· Knowledge of CRA and RQ tax slips
