At Master, we’re reshaping how HVAC-R supply chain creates value for our customers. As Private Label Manager, you’ll be responsible for the realization of our private label products ambitions through the establishment of new supplier relationships, building plans to execute from sourcing to successful launches and in time, creating a team to support this growing part of our business. You will identify, qualify, and negotiate with suppliers to create a unique private-label product portfolio and increase our competitiveness aligned with our go-to-market strategy.
This position requires a high level of private label and supply chain management knowledge as well as the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and Master Group internal team members. Teamwork is one of our foundational beliefs, and this role will require a vast amount of collaboration and cooperation with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to achieve expected results.
What you will accomplish with us:
- Own end-to-end sourcing for HVACR product to achieve the addition of high margin product by the creation of a private label product in our portfolio to meet our customers’ needs
- Apply the private label playbook and enhance our processes in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Manage the process from RFI to RFQs, analyze landed costs (incl. tariffs, freight), and negotiate optimal terms
- Collaborate daily cross-functionally with product management, marketing, inventory, operations and sale teams
- Eventually, build a team to manage all the processes necessary to have a successful private label portfolio
- Identify and qualify domestic and/or international suppliers
- Conduct vendor audits and manage compliance, MOQ, and quality control
- Track and report on vendors KPIs, volume gains, savings and margin achieved and any other relevant KPIs.
- Introduce direct-sourced private labels product categories (5*6) with the next 24 months
- Choose the appropriate products to create a private label SKUs in our portfolio
- Improve our private label playbook by incorporating lessons learned to facilitate future endeavors
- Create a high performance team
What You Bring to Our Team:

5 to 8 years in managing a private label portfolio, sourcing and global procurement, or supply chain including supplier qualifications and cost reduction efforts

Experience in industrial components, or adjacent manufacturing categories - HVACR preference

Excel + cost modeling fluency; ERP or procurement system experience (NetSuite, SAP, etc.)

Teamwork, curiosity, grit, intrapreneurial and results oriented

Bilingualism (French / English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with our internal and/or external Master Group collaborators across the country. After evaluation, it has been determined that no other solution can meet these professional obligations.
Nice to have :
- Mandarin, Spanish, or other language fluency (for supplier relations) in addition to be fluent in both official languages
- Experience working with overseas vendors or in OEM environments
