Description The Manager, Corporate Learning and Development is responsible for creating and executing enterprise-wide learning strategies that ensure workforce readiness for today and the future. This role focuses on upskilling and reskilling initiatives that prepare employees for emerging technologies, automation, sustainability practices, and evolving business models in the transportation and logistics industry. The position also ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and promotes a strong culture of safety and operational excellence
Responsibilities Strategic Learning Leadership
- Develop and implement a future-focused learning strategy aligned with organizational goals, industry trends, and technological advancements
- Partner with business leaders to identify critical skills gaps in areas such as technical, automation, AI, data analytics, and sustainability
- Drive initiatives that support digital transformation and operational efficiency across the organization
Program Design & Delivery
- Design and deliver engaging learning experiences using a blend of modalities (e-learning, workshops, coaching, etc.)
- Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires are equipped for success
- Partnering with our Programs and Design team, manage external training vendors and platforms to ensure quality and ROI
Needs Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct training needs analyses across departments and roles
- Measure program effectiveness using KPIs, feedback, and performance data
- Continuously improve learning offerings based on insights and business impact
Additional Responsibilities Technology & Tools
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure content is current and accessible
- Leverage digital tools and analytics to personalize learning and track progress
Workforce Readiness & Future Skills
- Develop upskilling and reskilling programs to prepare employees for evolving roles, including technical skills, data analytics, and sustainability practices
- Implement career development frameworks and pathways to support internal mobility and talent retention
- Monitor industry trends and integrate future-focused competencies into learning roadmaps
Compliance & Safety Training
- Oversee the delivery of compliance training programs, including regulatory requirements, transportation safety standards, and workplace health and safety for professionals
- Ensure professional employees meet mandatory training requirements and maintain certifications as required by law and industry standards
- Leverage technology to track compliance metrics and provide real-time reporting to leadership
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Establish KPIs and analytics to measure learning effectiveness, business impact, and ROI
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve learning programs and align them with organizational priorities
- Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Build strong partnerships with senior leaders, HR, and Corporate teams to ensure alignment and adoption of learning initiatives
- Lead and mentor a team of learning professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide learning strategies
- Strong understanding of future workforce trends, including AI, automation, sustainability, and digital learning technologies
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in Corporate functions (sales, marketing, finance & IT)
- Bilingualism is an asset
